Wolf Pack Announce Preseason Schedule
Aug 30, 2013Global Spectrum today announced the 2013-14 preseason schedule for the Wolf Pack.
The Wolf Pack will play a four-game preseason slate in preparation for their 17th AHL campaign. Three of the four games will be home contests, including a game at the XL Center Thursday, September 26 vs. the Albany Devils.
The first preseason action for Head Coach Ken Gernander’s Wolf Pack group will be Wednesday, September 25 at Champions Skating Center, 6 Progress Dr. in Cromwell, CT. That game will face off at 7:00 PM and will see the Wolf Pack host the Worcester Sharks. Admission to the September 25 game is $5, and proceeds will benefit inner-city hockey programs in the Hartford area.
Then the Pack and Devils hit the ice at the XL Center the next night at 7:00, marking the first time the XL Center has hosted AHL preseason action since October 4, 1998. Admission to the September 26 game will be free for Wolf Pack season seat-holders, who can pick up their season tickets at the game. Tickets for the general public will be priced at $5 each, and are on sale now at the Public Power Ticket Office at the XL Center and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
One dollar from each ticket sold to the September 26 XL Center game will be donated to the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund. The fund memorializes young fan Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that a portion of the monies set aside for his college education be donated to the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation.
In addition, three of downtown Hartford’s premier eating and drinking establishments will be offering special opportunities that evening in conjunction with the XL Center preseason game. At The Tavern Downtown, 201 Ann Uccello St., fans will receive a 15% discount on food, and a raffle will be conducted for a Wolf Pack prize pack, with the proceeds being donated to the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund. Also, both the Russian Lady, 191 Ann Uccello St. and the Rocking Horse Saloon, 181 Ann Uccello St., will be offering a $3 domestic draft special.
On Friday, September 27, the Wolf Pack will play their lone road preseason game, traveling to the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA to take on the Springfield Falcons. That tilt faces off at 7:00.
The Wolf Pack then wraps up its tuneup action with a 2:00 matinee Sunday, September 29 at the International Skating Center of Connecticut. The Pack and Falcons go at it again that day, and the International Skating Center of Connecticut is located at 1375 Hopmeadow St. in Simsbury, CT. Similar to the September 25 game at Champions Skating Center, the admission charge for the International Skating Center of Connecticut game will be $5, with proceeds benefitting inner-city hockey programs for Hartford-area youngsters.
