HARTFORD WOLF PACK INK DEFENSEMAN JEFF TAYLOR TO ONE-YEAR AHL CONTRACT

HARTFORD, CT - The Hartford Wolf Pack announced today that the club has signed defenseman Jeff Taylor to a one-year American Hockey League (AHL) contract through the 2021-22 AHL season.

Taylor, 27 (4/13/94), is entering his third season in the Wolf Pack organization. Taylor appeared in six games during the 2020-21 season with the Wolf Pack, registering two penalty minutes. He also appeared in ten games during the 2019-20 season, scoring four points (0 g, 4 a), registering four penalty minutes, and posting a +5 rating.

In addition to his time with the Wolf Pack, Taylor has appeared in 27 ECHL games over the past two seasons. Taylor skated in four games for the Jacksonville Icemen in 2020-21, collecting one point (0 g, 1 a). In 2019-20, Taylor suited up in 23 games for the ECHL’s Maine Mariners, scoring eight points (2 g, 6 a).

The 6’0”, 181-pound defenseman has played in 78 career AHL games over five seasons. In addition to playing in 16 games with the Wolf Pack, Taylor skated in 62 contests as a member of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the 2016-17 season through the 2018-19 campaign.
  
A seventh-round draft pick (203rd overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Taylor made his professional debut following a successful NCAA career. Taylor played four seasons for Union College, scoring 92 points (18 g, 74 a) in 149 games. A native of Clifton Park, New York, Taylor helped guide Union to a NCAA National Championship during the 2013-14 season.
