WOLF PACK FALL 4-2 TO AMERICANS
Nov 6, 2026
ROCHESTER, NY – The Hartford Wolf Pack dropped a 4-2 decision to the Rochester Americans on Friday night at Blue Cross Arena. The loss dropped the club to 6-8-1-0 on the season.
Caleb Jones opened the scoring in the final minute of the first period, rifling home his second goal of the season. On the Amerks’ first power play of the night, Matthew Peca picked up the puck below the goal line on the right-wing side.
He swung a pass through a number of bodies to the left-wing point for Jones, who ripped a shot into traffic and beat Spencer Martin by the left pad.
The goal, scored at 19:24, was Jones’ second of the season.
Peca extended the lead to 2-0 at 9:23 of the second period. Conor Sheary slid a pass from the right-wing circle to the backdoor for Peca, where he tapped home his sixth goal of the season.
Aidan McDonough made it 3-0 4:29 into the third period with Rochester’s second power play goal of the game. McDonough took a backdoor pass on the left-wing side from Jason Polin and beat Martin by the right pad for his fifth goal of the season.
Liam Greentree got the Wolf Pack on the board at 11:45, blasting home his team-leading seventh goal of the season. On the club’s fourth power play of the night, Greentree stepped into a drive off a Justin Dowling feed to make it a 3-1 game.
Lucas Vanroboys made it 3-2 at 14:35, deflecting home a centering pass from Justin Nachbaur for his second goal of the season. Nachbaur sent a pass from the right-wing side that hit the right skate of Vanroboys to draw the Wolf Pack within one.
The comeback bid came up short, however, as Trevor Kuntar hit the empty net at 19:36 to put the game out of reach.
