Wolf Pack Weekly, March 19-25

Mar 19, 2018

The Wolf Pack (29-29-5-3, 66 pts., .500) swept three games this past weekend, to climb back to the .500 mark on the year.  The streak began with a 4-3 shootout win over Lehigh Valley on Friday, the Wolf Pack’s fifth victory in five tries vs. the Atlantic Division-leading Phantoms.  Dan DeSalvo had the only goal of the shootout in that game, and also scored in regulation.  At Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday night, the Wolf Pack handed the Penguins only their seventh regulation loss on home ice all season, a 4-1 verdict.  Cole Schneider had a goal and an assist in that contest, and another DeSalvo tally was the game-winner.  Then it was back home to the XL Center on Sunday, and the Wolf Pack recovered from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits to defeat the Rochester Americans, 6-4.  Team goal-scoring leader Vinni Lettieri connected twice, upping his total to 19 on the year, and defenseman Brenden Kotyk had a goal and an assist for his first career AHL points.
