RANGERS ASSIGN SIX PLAYERS FROM WOLF PACK TO TAXI SQUAD, RECALL KINKAID

HARTFORD, CT – The New York Rangers (NHL) have announced that six players have been assigned from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack to the club’s taxi squad. In addition, the Rangers have recalled goaltender Keith Kinkaid from the Wolf Pack.

Goaltender Adam Húska, defensemen Zac Jones and Matthew Robertson, and forwards Morgan Barron, Jonny Brodzinski, and Tim Gettinger have been added to the taxi squad by the Rangers.

Brodzinski, signed by the Rangers on October 9th, 2020, leads the Wolf Pack with 24 points (10 g, 14 a) on the season. His ten goals are also the leading mark among Wolf Pack skaters. Over the course of two seasons with the organization, Brodzinski has appeared in 37 games with the Wolf Pack, scoring 41 points (16 g, 25 a). He has appeared in five games with the Rangers, all coming in 2020-21.

Gettinger, the 141st overall pick by the Rangers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 16 points (8 g, 8 a) in 21 games with the Wolf Pack this season. Gettinger has played in eight career games with the Rangers, with two coming during the 2020-21 season.

Barron, the 174th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has skated in 20 games with the Wolf Pack this season and has scored twelve points (8 g, 4 a). He has skated in two games with the Rangers this season, appearing in the club’s games on October 21st and 23rd in Nashville and Ottawa.

Húska, the 184th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in eight games with the Wolf Pack this season, posting a record of 2-4-2 with a .922 save percentage and 2.26 goals against average. Húska made his NHL debut on December 8th for the Rangers against the Colorado Avalanche.

Robertson, the 49th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has skated in 23 games for the Wolf Pack as a rookie. He has scored five points, all assists, and has yet to make his NHL debut.

Jones, the 68th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in 21 games as a rookie with the Wolf Pack this season. He has scored 17 points (4 g, 13 a), and leads all Wolf Pack defensemen and rookies in points. Jones appeared in ten games with the Rangers during the 2020-21 season, scoring four assists.

Kinkaid, signed by the Rangers as an unrestricted free agent on October 9th, 2020, has posted a 10-1-2 record to go with a .906 save percentage and 2.78 goals against average this season with the Wolf Pack. Kinkaid made 29 saves in his lone appearance with the Rangers this season, defeating the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on December 15th.

The Wolf Pack return to game action on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. when they visit the Bridgeport Islanders. The Pack is back at the XL Center on Friday, December 31st, when they host the Providence Bruins on ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ day.
