Game Preview:

The Sound Tigers and the Wolf Pack most recently squared off on February 7 with a 5-4 overtime win for the Pack. The victory was the Pack’s second straight in the season series vs. Bridgeport, after they went 1-4-1-0 in the first six meetings. The Wolf Pack are 2-2-0-0 in four previous visits to the Webster Bank Arena. The Sound Tigers are coming off a 1-0 shootout loss to the Providence Bruins on Friday night in the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

The Wolf Pack got back on track with a 3-2 shootout win over the first place Lehigh Valley Phantoms last night. Lias Andersson and Adam Tambellini scored in regulation time, while Chris Nell made 23 saves on 25 shots.

Thus far, the Pack are 25-22-4-3 on the season with a .528 win percentage, which places them sixth in the ultra-competitive Atlantic Division with 57 points from 54 games played. The Pack sit behind the fifth place Bridgeport Sound Tigers, who have collected 54 points from 51 games played for a 0.529 win percentage.

#7 Adam Tambellini

In 51 games played, Adam Tambellini has scored 11 goals and notched 13 assists for a total of 24 points in 51 games, including a goal in last night’s win over the Phantoms. The third-year left wing’s sophomore campaign saw him finish fourth on the Wolf Pack in points (35), assists (22) and shots on goal (131). Tambellini was a third round selection at 65th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2013 NHL Draft.

#7 Devon Toews

Devon Toews has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points with the Sound Tigers this season. The defenseman's 22 points ties him for the points lead for Bridgeport defenders. Toews is in his second year with the Sound Tigers as he finished last season with a five goals, 40 assists and a minus 2 +/-. Toews was drafted in the fourth round of the NHL Entry Draft in 2014 at 108th overall.
