Game Preview:

The Hartford Wolf Pack will be hosted by the Laval Rocket for the first time this season at Place Bell. This game completes the two-game series between the two teams. The Rocket came away victorious in their first meeting with the Pack, with a 3-2 overtime win on November 12 at the XL Center.

The Rocket are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Utica Comets on Wednesday at Place Bell, and have won one of their last four games. Laval sits in fifth place in the North Division with a 15-17-5-2 record and a 0.474 win percentage.

Last Time Out:

On Wednesday night, the Wolf Pack played to a 2-1 shootout win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in an away matchup. Peter Holland scored the lone regulation time Wolf Pack goal, while Marek Mazanec made 46 saves in net.

Thus far, the Pack are 15-17-3-3 on the season with a .474 win percentage, which places them seventh in the ultra-competitive Atlantic Division with 36 points from 38 games played. The Providence Bruins currently lead the division, while the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Lehigh Valley Phantoms fall close behind in the tight race.

Players to Watch:

#72 Filip Chytil

In 16 games played, Filip Chytil has scored five goals and notched seven assists for a total of 12 points. The rookie forward competed for his native Czech Republic in the 2018 World Junior Championship where he skated in seven games, contributing two goals and two assists for four points. Chytil is the youngest player in the AHL and was drafted by the Rangers in the first round of the NHL draft this summer, at 21st overall.

#22 Chris Terry

Chris Terry has 19 goals and 22 assists in 36 games for a league-leading 41 points. The forward has appeared in 152 NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens, where he scored 22 goals and contributed 16 assists for 38 points. In addition, the Brampton, Ontario native has played 474 games in the AHL, primarily with the Charlotte Checkers. Terry was a fifth-round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2007, where he was selected 132nd overall.
