Career Notes: 2020-21: Skated in 20 games with Wolf Pack in first professional season, scoring eleven points (4 g, 7 a). Made AHL debut on 2/7/21 vs. Bridgeport, scoring two assists in 5-2 victory. Scored first career AHL goal on 3/27/21 vs. Bridgeport. Scored goals in back-to-back games on 4/13/21 (@ Bridgeport) and 4/15/21 (@ Bridgeport). Scored points in five of six games from 3/27/21 through 4/15/21. Made NHL debut with NY Rangers on 5/8/21 @ Boston, scoring first career NHL point (assist)...2019-20: Scored 25 points (14 g, 11 a) in 34 games as a junior at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Wore “A” for Bulldogs and finished 5th on the team in scoring. Named NCHC Best Defensive Forward for 2019-20 season...2018-19: Finished second on Bulldogs with 32 points (12 g, 20 a) in 42 games. Named Best Defensive Forward in NCHC. Named NCHC Second Team All-Star. Won NCAA National Champion with UMD, named to NCAA All-Tournament Team following 2019 Tournament...2017-18: Scored nine assists in 44 games as freshman for Bulldogs. Won NCAA National Championship…2016-17: Finished sixth on Lincoln Stars (USHL) in scoring with 30 points (10 g, 20 a) in 59 games played…Misc.: Son of former NHL player and Head Coach Todd Richards, who coached the Minnesota Wild (2009-11) and Columbus Blue Jackets (2011-12 – 2015-16). Won Stanley Cup as Assistant Coach with Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020, currently an Assistant Coach with the Nashville Predators. Played eight games (1990-91, 1991-92) with NHL’s Hartford Whalers. Nephew of former AHL D Travis Richards, captain of Grand Rapids Griffins for three seasons (2001-02 – 2003-04)
