Wolf Pack Weekly, April 13-19

Apr 13, 2015

The Wolf Pack (41-23-5-4, 91 pts.) swept three games this past weekend, clinching a 2014-15 playoff spot, moving into a first-place tie in the Northeast Division with Syracuse, and stretching a winning streak to a season-high five games.  The Pack punched their ticket to the postseason on Friday, with a 5-0 home win over Springfield that tied the Wolf Pack’s largest margin of victory of the year.  Danny Kristo had a pair of goals to lead the Hartford attack, and Yann Danis rang up his second Wolf Pack shutout with 31 saves.  On Saturday night the Pack won their sixth straight at home, edging the Albany Devils 2-1.  Oscar Lindberg’s 26th goal of the season was the game-winner in that one.  Then on Sunday in Providence, Dylan McIlrath had a goal and an assist, and Danis stopped 30 shots, as the Wolf Pack took a 4-1 decision from the Bruins.  Danis got the call in all three of the weekend’s matchups, and allowed a total of only two goals on 88 shots.
