Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has signed defenseman Charlie Dodero to an American Hockey League contract.

Dodero, a 6-2, 195-pound native of Bloomingdale, IL, comes to the Wolf Pack from the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League. The 20-year-old Dodero led 2012-13 Sudbury defensemen in goals with seven, and also had 20 assists for 27 points, which tied him for the team lead among defensemen. He also served 97 penalty minutes, second-most on the team. In the playoffs, Dodero again tied for tops among team blueliners in points, notching 1-2-3 in nine games, and posted a team-high 18 penalty minutes.

Following the Wolves’ playoff run, Dodero signed an Amateur Tryout (ATO) agreement with the Connecticut Whale April 16, but did not appear in any AHL games.

In 248 career OHL games over four seasons with the Wolves and Kitchener Rangers, Dodero amassed totals of 11 goals and 58 assists for 69 points, along with 286 PIM.
