Wolf Pack Open Preseason Play Tonight

Sep 25, 2013

The Wolf Pack launch into their four-game AHL preseason schedule tonight, as they host the Worcester Sharks at Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, CT. Faceoff is 7:00 PM.

Admission to tonight’s game is $5 at Champions, which is located at 6 Progress Dr. in Cromwell, and proceeds from the game will benefit inner-city hockey programs in the Hartford area.

The Wolf Pack are also in preseason action tomorrow night, Thursday, September 26, hosting the Albany Devils in a 7:00 game at the XL Center. Admission to that game is free for Wolf Pack 2013-14 season seat-holders, whose season tickets will be available for pickup at the game. Tickets for the general public are priced at $5 for Thursday’s game, and one dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund. That fund is in memory of young fan Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that a portion of the monies set aside for his college education be donated to the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation.

Tickets for Thursday’s game are available at the Public Power Ticket Office at the XL Center and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com. In conjunction with the preseason action at the XL Center that night, three of downtown Hartford’s premier eating and drinking establishments will be offering special opportunities. At The Tavern Downtown, 201 Ann Uccello St., fans will receive a 15% discount on food, and a raffle will be conducted for a Wolf Pack prize pack, with the proceeds being donated to the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund. Also, both the Russian Lady, 191 Ann Uccello St. and the Rocking Horse Saloon, 181 Ann Uccello St., will be offering a $3 domestic draft special.

The Wolf Pack play their lone preseason road game this Friday, September 27, as they journey to Springfield, MA to battle the Falcons. That game faces off at 7:00 at the MassMutual Center.

The team takes a break from the preseason schedule this Saturday, September 28, but the entire preseason roster will be participating in a “meet-and-greet” event at Blue Back square in West Hartford that evening. From 6:00-8:00 PM, fans can enjoy autographs, games, prizes, inflatables, live music and more at Blue Back Square, which is located at 65 Memorial Rd. in West Hartford Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The Wolf Pack then wraps up the preseason this Sunday, September 29, welcoming the Falcons to the International Skating Center of Connecticut, 1375 Hopmeadow Rd. in Simsbury, for a 2:00 PM matinee. As at the Wednesday game at Champions Skating Center, the admission charge for the International Skating Center of Connecticut game will be $5, with proceeds benefitting inner-city hockey programs for Hartford-area youngsters.

The Wolf Pack open their 2013-14 regular season Saturday, October 5 at the XL Center against the Norfolk Admirals. Faceoff for that game is 7:00, and the full 2013-14 Wolf Pack regular season schedule can be viewed at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
