Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Michael Kantor to the Wolf Pack from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors, and that the Wolf Pack has released defenseman Sam Klassen from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Kantor, a rookie out of the Ontario Hockey League, played in four games with the Wolf Pack prior to being assigned to Greenville October 29. The 6-1, 185-pound winger was scoreless in those four contests, and had three assists and 12 penalty minutes in three ECHL games with the Road Warriors. Kantor was signed as a free agent by the Rangers April 18, 2013.
Klassen had no points or penalty minutes in three games with the Wolf Pack, after signing a PTO October 24. The fourth-year pro returns to Greenville, where he was scoreless in two games before joining the Wolf Pack.
The Wolf Pack’s next game is this Friday, November 8, a 7:00 battle with the Providence Bruins at the XL Center. Once again this season, each and every Wolf Pack Friday-night home game features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers, through the start of the second period, presented by Marc's Appliance Warehouse, located at 75 Prospect Ave., Hartford, CT.
