Three Return to ECHL

Jan 9, 2014

Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld today announced three Wolf Pack roster transactions.  The Wolf Pack has returned goaltender Jeff Malcolm and defenseman Mike Marcou on loan to its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors, and the parent New York Rangers have reassigned defenseman Samuel Noreau from the Wolf Pack to Greenville.

Malcolm, a rookie from Yale University, has seen six games of action with the Wolf Pack this year and sports a 1-3-0 record, with a 2.85 goals-against average and an 88.8% save percentage.  In seven ECHL games with the Road Warriors, Malcolm is 3-3-1 with a 1.96 GAA and a 94.0% save percentage.

Marcou played in two games with the Wolf Pack after being recalled from Greenville New Year’s Day, and was +2 with two penalty minutes.  The second-year man out of U. Mass-Amherst leads Road Warrior defensemen in points, goals and assists, with 4-5-9 in 25 ECHL games.

Noreau, a 20-year-old rookie and fifth-round (136th overall) draft pick by the Rangers in 2011, registered six penalty minutes and three shots on goal with the Wolf Pack, in his first five career AHL games, after totaling 38 PIM and 21 shots on goal in 23 games with Greenville.
