Ryan Bourque, Summers Summoned by Rangers

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the team has recalled forward Ryan Bourque and defenseman Chris Summers from the Wolf Pack.

Bourque, 24, has skated in 70 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points, along with 27 penalty minutes. He has established an AHL career-high in assists in 2014-15. Bourque has tallied seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last 14 AHL games.

The Boxford, Massachusetts native has skated in 266 career AHL games with the Whale/Wolf Pack, tallying 47 goals and 49 assists for 96 points, along with a plus-six rating and 70 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by the Rangers in the third round, 80th overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Summers, 27, tied for the team-high with three hits and recorded two shots on goal in 15:00 of ice time while making his Rangers debut on Mar. 29 vs. Washington. He has skated in 18 NHL games with the Rangers and Arizona Coyotes this season, recording three assists and eight penalty minutes.

The 6-2, 209-pounder has skated in 21 AHL games with the Wolf Pack and Portland Pirates this season, registering two assists and 23 penalty minutes. Summers has notched one assist and has posted a plus-three rating in 13 contests with Hartford in 2014-15.
