New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled forward Tanner Glass and defenseman Steven Kampfer from the Wolf Pack.

Glass, 33, has skated in 57 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering six goals and nine assists for 15 points, along with 86 penalty minutes. He leads the Wolf Pack in penalty minutes this season, and he is one of four players on Hartford’s roster – and one of two Wolf Pack forwards – who have skated in all of the team’s 57 contests thus far in 2016-17. Glass has registered an assist/point in three of the last six games, recording three assists and a plus-three rating over the span.

The 6-1, 213-pounder has skated in 123 games over two seasons with the Rangers (2014-15 and 2015-16), registering five goals and eight assists for 13 points, along with 164 penalty minutes. Glass led the Rangers in hits last season (224), and he ranked third in the NHL in hits from Dec. 2, 2015 until the end of the 2015-16 regular season. In addition, Glass ranked fifth in the NHL (min. 15 games played) in hits per game in 2015-16 (3.9; 224 hits in 57 games).

Glass has skated in 500 career NHL games over parts of nine seasons (2007-08 – 2015-16) with Florida, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Pittsburgh, and the Rangers, registering 23 goals and 44 assists for 67 points, along with 622 penalty minutes. He helped the Blueshirts win the Presidents’ Trophy and advance to the Eastern Conference Final in 2014-15, and he helped Vancouver advance to the Stanley Cup Final in 2010-11.

Kampfer, 28, has skated in 43 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering four goals and 15 assists for 19 points, along with 44 penalty minutes. He established a single-game AHL career-high with three assists and tied a single-game AHL career-high with three points on Mar. 1 vs. Springfield. Kampfer has skated in one game with the Rangers this season, making his debut with the Blueshirts on Feb. 28 vs. Washington.
