Hellberg Returned to Wolf Pack, Malcolm to Greenville

Mar 23, 2017

Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have returned goaltender Magnus Hellberg to the Wolf Pack, and that the Wolf Pack has returned netminder Jeff Malcolm to its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

Hellberg is 11-11-5 in 31 appearances with the Wolf Pack this season, with a 2.91 goals-against average and a 90.2% save percentage.  The fifth-year pro has made one NHL appearance for the Rangers, playing 19 minutes and stopping all four shots he faced.

Malcolm, a fourth-year pro out of Yale University, is 0-4-1 in five Wolf Pack outings this year, with a 4.66 GAA and an 86.5% save percentage.  In 26 games with Greenville in 2016-17, he is 12-9-4, with a 3.47 GAA and a 90.1% save percentage.

The Wolf Pack return home to the XL Center tomorrow night, Friday, March 24, when they host the Providence Bruins.  That is a 7:15 PM game, and, as at all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period.

Tickets for all remaining Wolf Pack 2016-17 home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.
