Following the first place Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Wilkes/Barre Scranton Penguins, Providence Bruins and Checkers currently hold the remaining playoff positions.

Players to Watch:

#10 Cole Schneider

In 62 games played, Cole Schneider has scored 13 goals, including two last night, and has notched 24 assists for a tied team-leading 37 points. The left wing is in his first season with the Wolf Pack, but he is no stranger to Connecticut, as he played collegiately for UConn. Schneider led the Rochester Americans last season in points (63), assists (39) and +/- (+9), and tied for fourth on team in PIM (45.)

#25 Valentin Zykov

Valentin Zykov leads the league in goals, with 30, and is second in points, with 51. Zykov scored two goals last night in the Checkers’ 4-3 win over the Pack. The Russia native is in his second consecutive season with the Charlotte Checkers, and has already surpassed his point total last season, where he produced 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points. The winger was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, where he was taken 37th overall by the Los Angeles Kings.
