Wolf Pack general manager Chris Drury announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Dawson Leedahl to the Wolf Pack from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

A 21-year-old rookie out of the Western Hockey League, Leedahl has skated in 18 games with Greenville this year, and has scored seven goals and added 10 assists for 17 points.  The 6-1, 200-pound native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was +9, good for second-best on the Swamp Rabbit team, and was tied for third on the club in assists and tied for fourth in points.

Last season, Leedahl was the third-leading point-scorer for the WHL’s Regina Pats, chalking up 35 goals and 54 assists for 89 points, along with a team-leading 121 penalty minutes, in 71 games.  In 297 career WHL games over five seasons with the Pats and the Everett Silvertips, Leedahl totaled 72 goals and 118 assists for 190 points, plus 367 PIM.

The Rangers signed Leedahl as a free agent May 8, 2017.
